Welcome to
my weblog. "Not Quite Art, Not Quite Living..." is a
line about serving the God who is Love from one of Terry
Taylor's songs, "Darn Floor, Big Bite." The verse goes:
In not-quite Earth, in not-quite Heaven,
I'll imitate Love as lovers do.
In not-quite art, in not-quite living,
I pray that writing it down
Is part of loving You.
I'm Conrad Gempf and I grew up in New Jersey in the 60s,
within sight of the World Trade Towers. I've studied for
degrees at Gordon College, Boston University and
Aberdeen University and did a year at Cambridge
University/Tyndale House before taking a job teaching
New Testament at London School of Theology.
I've published lots of stuff but the things you're most
likely to have come across are my first popular-level
books, Jesus Asked. or Mealtime Habits of
the Messiah or, in the UK, my teaching DVD,
Christian Life & the Bible
